What We Do

We design, install, maintain, and sustain organic vegetables,fruit and herb gardens. Pollinator flowers are also planted to attract beneficial insects; butterflies, honey bees and ladybugs, to eat those insects that can cause damage to crops.

We transform your vision for the garden by first assessing your site. We test your soil for proper nutrient balance for your plants. Prepare the site for Spring planting. Also we offer periodic consultation by phone and or in person per prior agreement.

My Story

Let me be frank, in the beginning of my gardening journey. My first husband was constantly working out of town every weekend. It was a blessing in disguise. I was not sad nor lonely. This was my time to do something that I’ve always wanted to do. Start a garden. Although I’ve tried many times with disastrous results. The squirrels, possums and stray cats in my neighborhood destroyed my yard each time. But this time I Learned to guard, defend, and protect what I was building. Fencing and chicken wire was established around the borders of my garden. As a result, each year the wires went up and the fruits and vegetables flourished. Oasis Organic gardening was born and formed out of my journey through life.

The garden for me was a place of refuge and peace. A place to regroup, reform, and refresh. While working in my garden I would sit, meditate, pray, worship and receive clarity of thoughts. Observing and taking note of each plant’s progress. Leaving my issues and troubles behind, but instead focusing on your garden’s needs.

I read books, viewed videos and sought advice from other gardeners. Through it all my preference leaned toward organic gardening methods.

At Oasis Organic Gardening, every garden and environment has its challenges, whether it’s urban, suburban or rural. My journey was accomplished in the midst of an urban jungle and something good came out of it. Delicious satisfying fruit and vegetables sown from seed to produce a bountiful harvest.

The Process

Consultation and Design

We work with you to understand your goals and vision for the garden, specific to your location. We develop a proposal in detail of the work, cost and timeline of your project.

Installation

Healthy soil, raised beds, compost units, irrigation systems, fencing, cold frames and green house of your choice.

Planting

We allow you to choose vegetables, fruits, herbs and beneficial pollinator flowers for your garden. We plant heirloom non-gmo and organic seeds.

Maintenance

We teach you how to maintain your garden. You may participate, watch and learn how to maintain your garden.Periodic visits or consulting by phone according to our agreement.

At Oasis we want to teach you how to build your, ‘“Garden Oasis” through phone consultation/ coaching, and in person visits per prior agreement.

Health

Organic agriculture enhances and sustains the health of soil, the planet, animals and humans.

Ecology

Organic agriculture should be based on living ecological systems and cycles, work with them, emulate and help sustain them.

Fairness

Farmers, especially small scale farmers, with respect to fair or living wages. Accessibility to consumers, food deserts or poverty reduction.

Care

Organic agriculture should be managed in a responsible manner to protect the health and wellbeing of future generations and the environment.
